I am a sixth grade ELA teacher at Welsh-Roanoke Junior High School. I attended McNeese State University. I hold a Bachelor of Arts degree in Elementary Education. I have sixteen years of experience as an educator. My goal is to implement and challenge students through rigorous and higher-order thinking strategies, while creating a positive environment conducive for learning at Welsh-Roanoke Junior High School. I enjoy working with children and helping them reach for their dreams through their education. I believe every child should be valued and treated with respect. An education should empower a child and help him/her make a positive contribution to our world.
I have a beautiful family of two children and two 4-legged children. reside Jennings, Louisiana has been my home town for the past thirty-eight years. I enjoy being outdoors. During the summer I spend my free-time gardening, painting, camping, traveling, exercising, and playing with our fur babies. In the winter, I lover to have cook overs, and read.
I look forward to getting to know all of you this school year!
